Noodle Kugel
Ingredients:
1 pound EGG noodles
2 cups cottage cheese
1/3 cup butter
1 to 2 cinnamon (optional)
3 tablespoons brown or white sugar
3 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup sour cream or plain yoghurt
add raisins or other dried fruit, optional
Instructions:
Combine all the wet ingredients. Cook the noodles according to package directions and drain them. Fold the noodles into the wet ingredients.
Place in buttered casserole with cinnamon sprinkled on top (optional). Bake, covered, in 350 F. (medium) oven for about 45 minutes, until firm. Remove the lid during the last minutes of baking if you like a slight crispy brown on top.
